In a tough race to handicap due to elevated chaos (volatility), as indicated by the Chaos Index (3.4/5), the program had the exacta order with its secondary selection of #8, Souper Tuscan, at 11-1 and #7 Bear Claw Necklace at 4-1. In the race, #1 Bob’s Carrot and #8 Souper Tuscan jumped out to an early lead before Souper Tuscan left Bob’s Carrot behind at the half mile pole. Souper Tuscan extended his lead coming out of the far turn until a late charge by Bear Claw Necklace, who nearly caught Souper Tuscan at the wire. The $2 exacta (8-7) paid $102.
