The $0.50 tri-fecta paid $200.50!

The Turf Program had an excellent result in the 6th race today at Gulfstream, a $35K claiming race at 1 mi. on the turf for three-year-old fillies and mares, with its first selection of #4 Sassy Allie at 5-1. The horse had a total win probability of 38.17%, converting to theoretical odds of 8-5. Besides projecting strongly in E1 and E2 with win estimates of 69.6 and 53%, Sassie Allie had a 41.5% COMP value, indicating about 8-5 strength in the simulation on a component level in the aggregate. In the race, Sassie Allie went wire-to-wire in the win, holding off a late charging #3 Crimson at 8-1. Sassie Allie paid $12.60 for the win.
The Turf Program had the superfecta order correct in the $200K Mathis Mile Stakes at Santa Anita today, run at 1 mi. on the turf for three-year-olds, with its first four selections of #1 King of Gosford at 3-5, #5 Stay Hot at 5-2, #2 Atitlan at 8-1 and #9 Lord Bullingnan at 10-1. The $0.10 superfecta paid $3.25 (32-1 combined odds equivalent).
There was a good opportunity in the 9th at Gulfstream today, a $20K OC at 5 1/2 f on the dirt for three-year-old fillies an mares, with #7 David’s Rose at 34-1. The program valued her stronger at 10-1, thanks to strong projections in E1 and E2 with win estimates of 58.3% and 27.4%. David’s Rose also had a strong COMP value at 38.9% (2-1 strength) with average risk according to its CV value of 6.59% . In the race, David’s Rose accelerated around the far turn and took and held on to the lead down the stretch. The horse paid $70.80 for the win.
